Camaro Picture Challenge

Take a picture of the Camaro convertible and win yourself a limited edition print...

It’s time to get your camera out for the Camaro convertible concept at the British motor Show. To celebrate the UK unveiling of this new American muscle car at the show PistonHeads is asking you to go along and get a snap of it in the metal.

Once you have taken a picture of part or all of the car all you need to do is load it onto the thread attached below and we will vote for the best 20. Winners will receive a signed print each by artist Ian Cook who shuns brushes for a rather more PH style of painting.

Cook will create a picture of the new Camaro using remote control cars as his brush and as you can see from the photos the result is pretty impressive. You check out more of his work on www.popbangcolour.com.

The Chevrolet Camaro first appeared in 2006 and will go on sale in 2009, with the convertible arriving later that year. The Camaro convertible concept, which comes in Hugger Orange pearl tri-coat paint with twin gunmetal grey sport stripes, is based on the original Camaro concept, with only minor changes required to accommodate the convertible body style.

So get yourselves down to the motor show and get snapping…

"Camaro Picture Challange"

So, is the challenge to find a motoring journalist who can spell?

Is this actually true? Is the photo in the topic actually painted by using RC cars? If so, it looks either heavily airbrushed, or the man has some crazy gift...

Either way, i do like the look of this car.

edit: ok, that photo wasn't there when i made my last comment, incase i sounded pretty stupid! (which isn't exactly difficult). Quite a clever concept, wouldn't mind seeing it first hand..

Is it on sale here in 2009?

Or is it on sale in the States in 2009 and we get it later. I thought I heard 2010 or 2011 for us. Or have I made that up in my sleep?

Is there a better angle than this?? Surely not.
Took this yesterday (Tuesday). Note the useful lack of people.

I can't go to the show, off to the Moapr Nats instead, but they used those glass enclosures last time. I recommend leaning right in, wide angle and as close to the floor as you can get (you won't be able to look through the viewfinder), like so...

Couple of mine. Stunning car, althought I prefer the styling of the coupe.
However there would be more "need" for a 4 seater convertible in my garage...wink
