Focus 1998; air con fuse/relay

Hi all

I have a 1998 (S) 1.6 Focus and the air con does not work.

The light comes on on the button, but nothing happens. First port of call is the relay - when pushing the button the engine revs do not change and you cannot hear the relay clicking. So I changed over the relay, still does not work. So I assume it's the fuse leading up to the relay. However, looking for info on the net it says the fuse is fuse 15 (10amp) - but that fuse slot is totally empty of not only a fuse, but female spade terminal bit to put a fuse in. It doesn't even mention it in the lid of the fuse box that there's something there - it's just blank.

So now, I have drawn a blank. Does anyone know which fuse covers the air con in the main fuse box in the engine bay?

Don't know on fuse but if you find it & it's Ok them most probably low on gas charge-the low pressure switch will stop the compressor clutch kicking in if that is the case.

Ah that's interesting, thanks. I've had the gas re done 1 yr ago so it should be ok, but it's worth checking.
