Cool, save importing, now to find somewhere in the UK that does the steering wheel stuff.

The picture doesn't say but I'm guessing that's just a double dinn adapter, or could this be used with a single dinn stereo?

Does anyone reckon these would work or would I still need to go for importing one from pac-audio (FAQ has the link for this)?

If anyone has a complete easy solution (I don't really want to replace the speakers) and wouldn't mind posting all the bits they bought I think it might help a few of us.

thanks

I don't think either of those items will work with the Monaro, first one is CANBUS, which is not fitted to Monaros (VXR8 yes). The second, not sure, as they do not list the Monaro in their compatibility list.
I replaced all of my sound system, new Infinity spkrs all round, removed factory subs and amp - replaced with 'Elemental Designs' 6.5" subs and 200w Infinity amp. Replaced head unit with single din Blaupunkt 'DAB54' DAB/FM/MP3/CD unit (got single din adapter from states) and added an 'Mstation' hard disk (250GB) based MP3 player. Steering wheel controls were adapted with the 'PAC SWI-X' adapter. Both the head unit and MP3 players head unit use infra red remote whch the PAC SWI-x uses to transmit steering wheel commands, problem is (for me) the Blaupunkt HU's infra red Rx operates on a different frequency, so steering wheel switches do not work with the radio, but they do work with the MP3 unit. So I use steering wheel buttons to play/stop and navigate the menus on the MP3 system. Works well for me, but then I hardly ever use the radio and have never put a CD in it, I only have to adjust volume by hand. The Mstation has something like 25,000 songs on it - I could prob drive to Oz and back and not listen to the same song twice!
