My 01 Spider, which I love dearly, has started shaking at low speeds, around 30-40mph. At high speed it is fine. Does anyone know what may be wrong with it? Is it worth having someone take a look at it? Thanks.

Well there's not a lot of information to go on there is there? hehe Is it worth someone taking a look at it? I assume so unless you want to dump the car... might just be a wheel balance weight fallen off!

Rear suspension bushes? - there's usually a knocking /clunking sound from the rear end to go with it.

Sorry for quickness of the post, was at work. Bascially, for some reason, between 30-40mph the car just vibrates and it can be felt through the cabin. At higher speeds the problem does not exist. I checked the tyre pressures and they are fine. There isn't any knocking or clunking noises from the car. Other than that it drives fine. I was thinking it may be a wheel balance problem. I'll take it down to my local garage. Thanks for the help.

It could well be, but take it to a reputable tyre specialist. I had the same on my Griffith at 60-80 which was a bit of a bummer 'cos that's the speed you cruise at! I had Racing Green in Ash Vale near Camberley sort it out for me but it took them a couple of goes to get it perfect. Nice chaps they are biggrin

Have you hit a pothole recently? Wonder if you have a flatspotted wheel?

Could be a balance issue but that usually occurs around the 60-70mph area.

Other option is a tyre that's going funny. I had one start, fine one day then massive wobble the next!
