Soft top colour-Black?

I have a black car with decent paint.
At present it has a black top that I am thinking of getting replaced.
The problem with black is that even new it can never be as "black" as the paint.
I given some thought to another colour, but not sure this would look quite right on an older car.
It has a dark red interior.
The only colour I have considered is cream, so far.

ive just done my black hood in renovo colour restorer and then fabsil to rewaterproof it, it took the whole 500ml of renovo but it does look alot better, just mask off the windows etc and prepare it well by cleaning properly,
