Anyone in the trade able to advise on the price?

What are similar age/spec RS4's actually selling for at the moment?

speak to mikeyboy, or even search his posts

he's got the same car and was interested in getting out of it last week although he may have changed his mind

Just searched his thread 'RS4 Value' and from that it looks like this example seems a little over what the markey is paying at the moment...

During the RS4's lifespan were there any revsions that make one year better than the other?

That car is a bit over the odds - only really difference (aside a few special offers for optional extras) is the 'de-tangoed' indicators on 07 models.

I bought my (avant) 4 months ago for £46k with a similar number of miles on a 56 plate so i reckon that is about right from a dealer...

ETA - go for it, fantastic car, off to France in mine tomorrow! woohoo

Make sure the DRC shocks (particularly the fronts) are checked before you take the car.

In comparrison to the new M3, Boxsters, caymans, 911s they are actually holding up very well. A good 2006 car with 20k miles are around 38-40k, 2007 cars with 11k are fetching 41k + (Just sold mine so I know). The problem is desperate people are selling to traders so for example my supplying dealer offered me 35k but I had got 2 offers from traders at 39k, 2 private offers at 41k and I eventually sold to an Audi dealer at 41k. These cars are sought after and their limited numbers make them a far more interesting proposition than most cars.
The DRC failures are currently being acknoledged by Audi by several people and as long as the car is in warranty you should be okay. Have a look on rs246.com and all the info you need is on their.

No I hadn't really considered an S4 this time round, but I did test drove one about 18 monthes ago but I ended up buying a BMW 335i.

I've never found S4's appealing (or the S6) I've never really understood the need for them in the range.

I would rather pay the extra and get an RS4 if I wanted to go fast, or if I didn't want to go fast save a bit and get a 3.2 / 2.0T Quattro.

It does look expensive.
Sold mine a couple of weeks ago for £33k.
Almost identical spec but in blue with optic pack.
Had it up for £35 for nearly a month with not a sniff !

seems reasonable price

hmmm, upcoming divorce has made me think of letting mine go but would hope to get 41k+ privately, but it is such a great car I would be gutted

anyone know how much Audi dealers mark up? 5k?

love my spec, 07 and 11k miles so similar to this one although better spec - optics pack which hugely improves looks IMHO altho some don't agree (see profile pic), SS+ (which makes a big difference to me), TV, rear sideguard

holding on to value well (good reviews, not many around)

Well judging from the (to be fair only a couple) of quote I got that one I think looks a little steep. Lets put it this way. Mine is on 13k exactly the same spec but for ali interior trim and they were offering 35k ish. So if I were still trying to sell it (i'm not anymore, wasn't that serious about it even then) I'd of accepted private sales at 38k or so..

Now its 45 k if some of you think that ones reasonable.;)
