Drivers side window broken :(

The window will go down ok but now its decided that instead of going up again, it just clicks?
Sounds like a few broken teeth inside the mechanism
Any ideas? If its a new one needed what car does that part come from?
Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry I don't know for sure, but I vaguely seem to remember somebody saying they'd matched it with the motor from the opposite side of a Rover, maybe an 820 or something like that? If it was me I'd start at the dealers/specialists since this takes a lot of the risk and uncertainty out of it. Alternatively if you're on a shoestring I guess you need to spend a few days climbing round your local breakers looking for a match? Sorry this probably hasn't been much help.
