On talking to Mini owners who have had the same sort of thing done, it doesnt stay on the wheels very long.

Unless concours is your thing its probably best avoided...

One of the limited edition MX-5's had this a few years ago and it looked a bit pants. You would be looking at a very limited audience when you came to sell it as well.

I've often had the fleeting thought that a black tuscan would look quite nice with chromed 18" spiders on.

The chrome wheels were an option for the T440R (albeit at £3500)...

very few places will do this and you (SHOULD) have to have the wheels checked out via ultra-sound or x-ray to check for cracks/damage...so a specialist job!

hides all manor of ills!

not my thing and i wouldn't trust a wheel thats been done, particularly in a 150+ car!

however, with all these mobile repair companies now working i suppose you could get it done. chroming is a world away from painting.

cheers

I saw a Chim at the West Essex/London meet a few weeks back (Merry Fidlers) which had polished alloy wheels. I thought they looked fantastic! I hate chrome wheels (except wires of course) but these really did look good. Don't know who - Terminator probably does???
