So , my 645 is coming to the end of it's lease soon and time to start thinking of new things, always fancied a bread van (Z3 M-coupe).

How practical is one as a daily driver? I do 12k miles per year, we don't have kids so two seats is fine. Thinking of the later variant with the R56? engine etc.

Am I certifiable?silly

Roger,

Guess you mean S54 unit from the E46 M3?

Anyway, you're not certifiable. A friend of mine uses his daily and loves it. They'll happily do 12k per annum although the later S54 motor cars are still fetching strong money as they're desirable

Cheers
Matt

It'll be fine as a daily driver, but if you're talking about city driving then you'll be looking at sub 20mpg on the S50. That's what mine's getting, but on the motorway it will manage between 25-30.

Great cars, very tame in the dry if you just drive it like a normal car. Pain in the arse in the wet tho.

Yes Sorry, I did mean the S54 variant.

Sounds good, I know for some they are an acquired taste but I fancy something a bit different. Fuel cost wise it's not a problem as my copmany pay all my fuel!

Thanks for the responses so far.
