I clean my wheels and two days later they are darker than ever. Do any of you also have this problem? And is there a good wheel cleaner out there....right now I use Meguiar's.

If you use the brakes, you will get brake dust. The only way not to get the dust, is to get very had brakepads, but you'll find the car probably won't stop! So best thing to do is clean them regularly. The product formally called P21S, now R222 High Performance Wheel Cleaner manuf. Smartparts, is good and used often by professional valeting companies. It builds up a layer of protection over successive applications, requiring just a pressure wash to get the wheels back to clean. (Wasn't quite that way with me, but I like it.)

I apply a sealant to clean wheels once every few months, I use this stuff.

It is very good, a hose or pressure washer will remove all the brake dust with little effort. It can also be used on the paintwork to give similar protection.

I came to think that there was something wrong with them, it accumulates like crazy on my front wheels, next time I am about to go out I'll take a pic, its dust but its almost a think layer of black, and it doesn't come off easily....even after the supposed "spray and wash away", wheel cleaner.

I need to start paying attention to some of these products you guys use, I am wayyyyy behind.

You may just want to check that the car is getting the right distribution of braking on all 4 wheels, as you may be just using the fronts????

Sounds all totally normal, as the front brakes do most of the work anyway. Have you noticed the difference in size of the discs and pads at the front compared with the rear?

Less dust,? try Akebonos pads online from RockAuto in the US also recommended as are EBC "Red Stuff" pads.
Ceramic pads are said to create a lot less dust.
