Hope to be able to do most of the 12k service tomorrow.

As I've yet to see the car from underneath, I'm not sure what to expect.

Any advice or tips on the tasks required, especially belt and fuel filter replacement.
Easier from above or below the car, or a combination of both ?

I'm hoping that the engine and gearbox drain plugs are easy to get at ?

At least I've now managed to remove the dipstick ! (See other post)

All info grately appreciated..

First bit of advice...DO remove the undertray first ( be prepared to drill a couple of screws out if you are unlucky). Once that is off, life is a lot easier.

Fuel filter is next to the fuel pump, in the compartment in front of the rear passenager side wheel.

While you have the undertray of check battery for any signs of heat damage and also check all the wiring is properly secured and away from heat source. Check front turbo and manifold nuts are tight while you are under the car.
Have fun.

All done, no issues thankfully. I would recommend some copper slip on the screws before refitting.

Only job we didn't manage was the fuel filter. How do we get in there ?
Is it a wheel off job to get into that area ?

Can be done with the wheel on. Remove all screws from the panel in front of the wheel (you will need a stubby screwdriver to get to the bottom ones) and also remove the metal angle just above the wheel. The panel will then come out. But TBH it is a lot easier to remove the wheel.

Best done with a empty fuel tank as well.
