C36 wipers coming on by themseves??? help

Hi All

The wiper stock on my C36 seems to be setting the wipers of when in the stop position.
Turning the stock clockwise will stop the wipers until I hit the next bump in the road.
Has anyone had a similar problem? or replaced the stock or know of a fix?

I vaguely remember mine doing that. Is the fix not a new wiper stalk?
