Do BMW offer 24 hour test drives? I never feel you get a good enough feel for a car on a normal test drive.

Some will some wont. My g/f test drove a 3.0Si Z4 last year on a dark night, in the rain around an industrial estate. She told them she was keen on the car but didnt get a feel for it, so they leant us it for 48hrs. Made all the difference, we ordered one the following week.

I think you'd have to show you were keen to buy and this would help you make up your mind, and that it was financially viable that you were able to buy it but i guess if you've locked in with a salesman RE: costings etc he will have that level of confidence anyway.

Depends if the salesman genuinely thinks it will come to a sale.
With a franchise like BMW, i'd be inclined to say no as they tend to be a bit snooty at the best of times about lending cars out, plus in all fairness the brand has a reputation that says everything it needs to without resorting to needing to offer extended test drives like some manufacturers do to try and sell cars.

Well, I spoke to the dealer yesterday. He basically said that as they are a franchise dealer they don't keep a stock of cars for test drives, so the best they could offer is 20 minutes.

Got to say, I'd be hard pushed to part with serious moola for a car on the back of a 20 minute drive.

Conversely, Skoda offer 48 hour test drives on £9k cars...

You need to get them to organise one through BMW UK, they keep a large fleet of demo cars and if the stealer thinks you are genuine he can get one from Bracknell for up to 5 days. Maybe speak to the Corporate sales guys, they are more clued up. Any probs drop me a mail and I might be able to sort something.

I'd walk away if they were expecting me to buy a car afetr a 20 minute drive and wouldnt hepl out further.

I was offered an M3 over night a while back (though I know the salesman relatively well) so its do-able.
