I posted this elswhere on the forums and someone mentioned it would be a good idea to put it here...

I replied elswhere on the forums and I thought it would be a good idea to put it here...

I'm not normally apathetic about things but the anti-speed lobby (and enforcers) really are out to get us. I've been out for a 3 hour ride this evening, and as many people will be aware, a litre sportsbike can have you banned in 1st gear and locked up by the time you're in 3rd. So, 95% of my ride was spent not enjoying myself, but concentrating on not twitching the throttle hand (1mm travel = +10mph) and alternating my view between the speedo and the mirrors, instead of how the next bend pans out and what the road surface is like.

I'll hate myself if I ever do it, but every time I ride the Gixxer, I come back wondering whether it's simply best all round if I sell it before a millisecond's lapse in attention causes me enormous agro. cry
