I passed my test last November, and have been using the bike for commuting and fun as much as possible since then..

Found that I've been using the bike more and more, and the car hardly at all, so today, I finally sold my 'fun' car, a 40k mile Porsche 993...

Although I'm still riding an old 600 Bandit S, I find it more fun, and almost as fast as the Porsche, and for only a tiny fraction of the cost !

So, if you are into fast cars, and thinking about doing your licence, crack on and do it !! It'll totally change your view of what a 'fast car' is, and how much you need to spend to have a good time.. I'm back to my old £350 Nissan Sunny when I need to go to the shops/ raining heavily, but its back on the bike for everything else smile

Only problem now is a large chunk of cash burning a hole in my pocket for a shiny new bike... mmmmmmm

Hopefully going to resist tho, and try to stick with the bandit till the spring, so that I've got a good bit of experience under my belt before I get something 'faster'.

happy days smile

keep the Bandit, get a CBR600RR or similar trackbike and go scratch the speed itch on a circuit smile
