Test drove an E60 yesterday and the wipers are on backwards! They're in LHD configuration (RHD car), leaving a triangle unwiped in the top right-hand corner. Looking around the dealer lot, it appears the 6-series is like this too.
Are they all like this? Last time I saw cost-cutting of this nature was in the 1980s with stuff like Citroens. At least the Mercedes cost-cutting solution (wipers in the middle) is a bit more elegant.

You are correct and this is the one thing that I really dislike about my 535D.Are they all like this? Last time I saw cost-cutting of this nature was in the 1980s with stuff like Citroens. At least the Mercedes cost-cutting solution (wipers in the middle) is a bit more elegant.
I assume there is a genuine mechanical reason why they can't be swapped over for a RHD. To be fair it doesn't hinder the quality of water removal from the drivers side.
