Anyone else there? Had a top day out in the fast group until some numpty deposited oil all over Club.

Some guy turned up on a Desmosedici - he managed one lap (on a 105dB noise limit) before being black-flagged for.......noise biggrin

Didn't they test everyone before going on? They usually do.

No, at the briefing they said it was a 105dB limit (which is fairly generous really) and said that they'd be monitoring on the fly during the day and calling bikes in which were too loud. The Desmo was the only bike I saw blacked - it was flippin noisy though!

And that's funny why? Because he's got a few quid and his trackday was ruined? Rich people deserve misfortune is that it?

Personally I would enjoy to seeing a Desmo circulating on a trackday far more than seeing it black flagged. I'd love to follow one round (or at least try and keep up with) for a few laps. Even if the rider is taking it easy (wouldn't you on a 40k bike?), it's so much better than one that's just mothballed in a garage somewhere or riden up the kings road for a pose.

it's funny because EVERYONE knows the noise limit yet you still get the odd plumb that wants to try it on and all get black flagged...regardless of the bike in question or its value

i've ridden with a couple Desmosedici riders (on the isle of man this year at the TT) and yes they do sound amazing in the flesh cool

if i had one i would run it hard too!!!

Focused Events ran the day, although Silverstone staff were policing noise levels.

I presume the second part of your question was some sort of joke? rolleyes
