What a rubbish start to the day,

wake up look out the window, wooop sun bike today and long way home!! go down stairs dogs shat on the floor fkin brilliant. all my gear on move parents car open garage fkin brilliant bike has a flat, no time to see if it is a puncture or what but still annoying as hell. gear off close garage move parents car back get in my car, fking brilliant again petrol light on. I only filled the thing on the weekend and have done 30 miles I put £20 in which usualy lasts 200 miles which means i am either leaking fuel or its been knicked..... =[

how do I get a puncture repaired if I cannot ride the bike to a garage btw? do I have to get a mobile dude out? anyone know one in the area. not that I can afford a new tyre at the moment either =[ =[.....

Yeah remove the tyre....
Its a bugger if its the rear as it takes a bit longer....
Or pump it up see how quickly it goes down, if it takes ages and your only a couple miles away you could ride it.
OR if you've got break down cover use them...

If you dont have a paddock stand or centre stand your going to find it quite difficult!
I used to be alright with the 125 cos i could wedge a milk crate under the middle of the bike - not advisable but it worked.
You could always ride it to the tyre place if its not too far.
I've been known to do that - but only because i had a super super slow puncture..
Or you could buy a paddock stand off the net today, it'll arrive tomorrow & its always handy to have one they dont cost a huge amount..

If you take the tyres off they cant justify charging you labour really to do the tyres.
Although the money you save on labour you'll probably spend on a paddock stand anyway!

Turn the bike upside down, resting it on it's seat and handlebars.

It should be easy then.

Agreed if its loosing air slowly just pump it up and ride it straight there. If you've got an electric compressor you stand a chance with a total flat. Believe me the effort to pump from 100% flat with a foot pump just really isn't worth it.

What about getting a mobile tyre fitting company to do it?

front anr rear paddock stands are different types for the majority of bikes. You can get stands that do both, but check this before parting with your hard earned!

Or use some bricks, concrete blocks, pieces of wood, whatever is available and substantial enough etc. Youth of today, paddock stands, pah.....

In the past I have been known to put a steel pole or wooden beam under the back of the engine and stand it on a couple of axle stands so that the rear wheel is off the ground. (Really needs two people to make it work. One to lift while the other positions the axle stands.) Not as stable as a proper paddock stand but does allow the wheel to be removed for ‘emergency surgery’!
