I like the 335d, and i think its great to see someone so fond and attached to there car, yes there are alot of better ones for the money,

but theres no denying that it will piss over most of the cars in here!

Some people post up a few pictures on here of 'women they shouldn't fancy' and the thread gets sent to hell,

I know what you're saying & I was hoping we'd see a rather sheepish reply from dxb @ some point, but it was all taking the mickey pub style banter, he would've been welcomed back with open arms once we heard from him again I'm sure & of coruse once he realised where he was going astray.

However, the little stunt @ Goodwood, of ALL places is quite honestly sacrilege. But hey ho...I'm not so keen on him now as I previously was when I assumed he was just a slightly naive young chap with a fondness for his car.

Ah well.

Well I for one think enough is enough.

This thread and the other snide 335d remarks on here are nothing short of pathetic playground bullying, yes I made a (mapped) comment but to be quite frank I don't want to be part of this it has gone too far.

I know that if these comments were about the MG Midget and directely aimed at me, I wouldn't find it funny, yes a couple of comments fair enough I can take a joke but I can't be doing with just picking on someone (and someones car) just for the sake of it.

This thread and other threads have got completely out of order, it reflects badly on PH in my opinion, which is rather sad.

I for one have met dxb335d, he is genuine and a nice person, yes he is rather enthusiastic about his car, so am I about mine, what is wrong with that? We are meant to be enthusiasts of all types of car on this site there is no prerequisite for joining Pistonheads and in general that is what makes it such a good site, meets are nice and varied as to what cars turn up in our own Midlands meets we have everything from Classics to Supercars to Daily Drivers everyone is treated the same.

Everyone moans about PH "not being like it used to be" I for one agree, due to the amount of playground bullying going on.
is the guilt kicking in?

Righty-ho, briefly skimmed over this thread, I am I right in saying the 335d(mapped) guy is 17 and was given the car by his father? And that he thinks his derv(mapped) will keep up with evo's etc.

confused
I think he's 24.

Wow, First ive seen of this. Pretty amazing, 30 PAGES.

Its great that ive raised the profile of the 335d so much. Every man and his dog will know about them now.

Ive become quite infamous too myself. Pretty cool that ive caused such a stir here.

Not read all the pages, but it is amusing. Keep up the good work guys and girls and moderators LOL.

Some good points below.

Very well said.

Virtually every thread is in danger of having "335d", "mapped" or similar childish taunts/jokes.

It's all a bit... boring.

I also had a fast car at 19 that i purchased myself , i personally stepped back from reffering to it fastest frontwheeldrive car earth the has ever seen even though it seemed pretty damn fast. Also found a bit of modesty goes a long way

Yes, although generally people don't need to be tarred and feathered to this extent to get the message. He is a bit of a case, isn't he?

I don't recall any rules saying that mods can't contribute and post on PH as regular PHers confused
They can join in and take the piss out of other members?
