Where can I buy the timing tool for a Discovery?
Discussion
I think the above sums it up....I'm in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and LR dealership want some serious money just to give me a quote for loss of compression as a result of over heating.
I have an indie but he said he doesn't have the timing tool, is there anywhere I can buy one in the UK and how much do they normally go for? Also, are there any other tools he'd need for the job?
Edited to add I searched the forum prior to posting and I've posted this on the ME forum!
Thanks guys,
D

Most of the Land Rover special tools are made and distributed by SPX Ltd of Daventry.
Their web site is at www.spxuk.co.uk
If you click on the Land Rover logo and then "Request Trial Access" you can download the appropriate catalogue.
Unfortunately there's no pricing and to be honest I don't know whether they're prepared to deal with the public, but got to be worth a try....
