Hands up - who has a starmist blue Chim and in the world of bespoke colours, why is this by far the most popular colour in the 90s???

When I had a Chimaera it was Starmist blue, with magnolia hide.

I bought it second hand, so I was more interested in finding the right car at the right price. Colour came into it, but not at the top of the list.

Interestingly, when I was looking it didn't appear to be that common. Once, I had bought the car I started seeing more in this colour combination. Always the way.

Neil.

when I was looking tam they were all green! I only saw one light blue metallic (pretty but dodgy history) and my baby of course.

Never got to see a SB one - they look classy though I think, and the colour hasn't dated at all.

Hi

It's a gorgeous colour IMHO...a striking electric mid blue is the best I can describe it. Navy blue half hide interior.

I keep meaning to put a pic on my profile but the one I have at the mo doesn't do the colour justice...it's too light.

what she said.

apparently it's very similar to a porsche medium blue (forget the name) used on 944s... looks much better on a curvier car such as the chimaera tho

imagine a medium blue with a misty sheen over it. mmm.

btw you have the same interior too, cosmoschick. you sure you haven't nicked my car?

Starmist blue a great colour IMHO. Almost bought one and it was a "preferred" colour to look for, but got one in Starfire Mica blue instead 'cos it was a better car. Very small amount of difference in colour, a bit more flake in Starmist I think.
