Guys & Gals

Just wondered if any of you are in the MultiMedia / TV Business?

I need 3 42" Plasma TV's with built in speakers that are wall mountable and also the cantilever brackets to go with them.

Currys have a 42" Panasonic that fits the bill at £579.99 and the brackets are £50.00 each.

If anyone deals in these or knows of a better deal please feel free to post or send me a Message

Cheers
Shan

£50 for a cantilever bracket?

Ensure no one is sitting under them, would be my advice.

The brackets are from IMount

Seem a respectable enough company?

http://imount.co.uk/index.php

Any other suggestions then?

I did notice that most others where £99- £199

Depends on where its going.

If its for residential use then the most popular bracket on the market is the Premier AM3, if its to go back into a purpose built recess then it will need to be geared and the best geared mount is the Vogel.

We use all sorts of brackets, depending on requirements.

That is horrible, but about right for the money, You certainly get what you pay for. We recently had to install a AMF mount that a customer had been sold and that was just as bad.

Another consideration is the amount of pressure you have to apply to the screen edges, putting it under significant stress to get these level of brackets moving either in or out. The pressure I had to apply to the AMF one was scary and not something I would like to do often for fear of damaging the screen.

It also sagged which wasn't confident instilling!

I agree with Plotty on the AM3 and the Vogels as mounts of choice, another one we have just supplied is the Future Automation PS42. Fantastically engineered, so well balanced and castered you can move it with one hand! It's certainly going to be on our preferred list for anyone who wants a pull out and swivel bracket.
