My Astra has the LS1 running gear, part wiring loom - part astra loom, ECU BCM and instrument cluster from a 2004 Pontiac GTO.
It has no ABS or traction control, but the instrument cluster or BCM, or both are looking for these and sending out fault messages on the intrument cluster.
I`ve tried to access the components with Tech2, but it wont let me in.

Has anyone any ideas please ?

Thanks
Pete

May have to have them removed from the ecu to stop them working.
Dont know if they can help or not but ive used a company called BBA remanufacturing on various occasions to remove duff imoboilisers from oe ecu's (rather than replaceing the ecu and all the problems that go with it) who are up at gillingham business park 01634230055.

No good. They wanr me to send them the BCM and the ECU.

That would mean dismantling the whole dash and centre console.

I`m looking for someone who can access those components from the OBD2 port.

Its an Aussie car after all. I'd guess those guys would have more experience with such things.

I know I asked around about getting the text on the dash display changed once from Vauxhall back to Holden. Apparently it could be done, but it wasnt easy !!!

Wortec live mapped it, but couldn`t get at the fault codes.

I wonder, maybe Walkinshaw Performance might have a solution ?

Have you tried asking on teh HPTuners forum ? or emailing them direct ?

Although the ecu tuning software...not sure what scope it gives in terms of accessing the dash or ABS systems.

Pete,

I rec'd the pics. I wish this wasn't the case, but there is no reflash
solution that I am aware of.
