I want to find the military history of my Land Rover Lightweight.

If its seats i'm supposed to be looking at then shouldnt be a problem. You will need seat runners from a 90.And make sure they are bolted in line with the seat either side of the tank cover.

so what is the idea of them? do they just allow the seat to come off when filling up or slide forward?

Other than as mentioned,You will be trying to pull the whole seat out every time you fill up.
