I have a 2005 XKR with the integral phone & radio. However the phone was not fitted when new and my dealer says no retro fit is available. Any suggestions? I do have a blue tooth that works through the radio but it is unreliable.

I am sure your dealer is correct.

May I suggest that you join the XK8/R Enthusiasts Club www.xkec.co.uk you can then get into there Forum and get advice from members who have fitted other set ups.

Unfortuneatly you have to be a member now to get into the Forum due to a few who were posting all the sex links etc.

I had a Nokia CK-7W bluetooth hands-free kit fitted in my 2003 XKR.

It was already in when I bought the car, but they are inexpensive to buy and work very well. It worked with the standard headunit, and also when I upgraded to an Alpine unit.

Any reputable car audio/electronics company will be able to fit it for you.

Hope this helps,

Scott

Thanks. I'll take a look at the Jaguar Club and maybe upgrade the bluetooth.

Mate of mine has the Parrot system (2" x 2" screen) and its a really good, clear sound and never seems to have a problem connecting - He rates it as one of his best ever purchases. Think it was around 3-400 punds fitted.

I use the bluetooth function of my TomTom 730 and it works perfectly with my Moto V3.
