what colour should the spark be ??

when a spark plug is put to the block to test it what colour should the spark be ? blue ?

ive a 2002 316tise bmw that wont start but its getting fuel and the plugs are giving a yellow/white spark when put to the block

ive a feeling its a weak spark but im no expert lol

Sorry - but it's not the colour but the size that matters.

Best to check the spark in the evening .. that way you can see it easier.

Yeah. If you can only see it in the evening it's not strong enough

Colour is probably being affected by dirt on the head or something.
