My best recomendation to people on Blatchat is to not offer comment on the subject of my car unless they can fully substantiate the truth. The way things are going I will go legal and get BC closed down.
Hands up - who mentioned Zippy's car?rolleyes

Blatchat's down for me.

Also......completely off topic here but related to Blatchat stil.

Filling in insurance quotes I get asked if I'm a member of a kit car club. If I was to sign up to Blatchat (guessing I can do this before buying a 7?), would I get any discount from the insurance companies or is it just a random question they ask.

The company in question is MSM.

Thanks.

They will ask you for your membership number.
Also if you lie then it could invalidate your insurance......................is it worth not to?

You can join the Lotus Seven Club whether or not you own car, and I think it's well worth it it you are considering buying one.
Apart from being able to post on Blatchat, you can get a discount on Insurance from some Insurers (I think MSM's is 10%) which often more than pays for the membership anyway (currently £39 a year I think).

You'll also get the monthly club magazine, access to club track days (at cost), loads of social events, and local meetings where there will any number of 'experts' to give you lots of different and opposing answers to your questions wink

Well worth it in my view cool

Of course the only way to sign-up to Blatchat is by joining the Lotus7 Club (which I did before buying my car) so you would be perfectly entitled to any discount offered.
Hope they fix the server before I get home, otherwise I might have to spend the evening talking to the wife. eek
Editted to add: Beaten to it by Helluvaname as I had to answer the phone. Wish people would use the same nick-names on each site IB; it would make things so much simpler. biggrin
