How much can you buy it back for? Gotta be the easiest car in the world to straighten.

Would like to buy it back as there are some good parts on it but don't think its worth rebuilding. Factory job with the chassis, has to be right. Would not want to drive one that had been sorted with a big hammer

Its an early narrow bodied car similair size to the caterham. The factory don,t make them any more. Also needs most of the body as well which would have to be made to order if they still have the moulds.
The factory charge around £2500 to build a kit so add that to the labour cost of stripping an old car and add the parts. Might be worth while on a newer car but not mine.

Looked into buying new kits from westfield and sylva but its still to expensive If i was putting the hours in i would want a better engine and running gear as well so might as well start from scratch.

Wiz, you're in a fotunate position to bid your insurance co in the balls for the wreck. You'd be a fool not to make profit on a resale, or not let someone else here have the chance to rebuild it. You need the help of someone familiar with this stuff.

The pic I posted early in the thread is a factory built narrow body too, and it is a very high spec example in lovely condition. My friend is selling it very reasonably priced.

Have rebuilt salvage in the past and know the score. Have done the costings and options. If i get the car back at the right price might be worth breaking otherwise its time to move on.

Wiz, I didn't share your opinion a new chassis is needed, and bodywork on a Westfield? How hard can that be. It's your car, and you know best. So I guess that told me.

Sometimes it works out this way and the decision to move on is made for you. Best of luck with it all and who knows we might get to meet up one day.

Cheers,

Simon.
