Hi all, ive still got this problem. The seatbelt warning does not chime when seatbelts are not worn. The warning lamp does not light up on ignition either. VW had a look and said it needs further checking up, they said there are no fault codes in the seatbelt. The wires underneath are intact and connected. Is there a fix? I dont have Vagcom.
Thanks

do you really need a buzzer to tell you that you are not wearing your seat belt?

well its just something that i paid to be there really. And if the car doesnt know that there are passengers or maybe even the driver then the airbag(s) may not go off which is worrying. Yes thats the thing I do not have diagnostics and don't know anyone who can re-program it, VW will just rip me off.

Old thread, I know... but found out today the seatbelt warning feuture described here is only available on 2005 Model Year onwards Golfs, so I'm guessing yours must be a 2004.
