Last month we had a great turn out for the South Essex meeting, so lets try and see if we can do the same again. It's on Wednesday from 7:30 at the Merry Fiddlers in Epping. Anyone who doesn't know how to get there can meet me at outside the Marriott Hotel, at Jnct26 on the M25, the Epping turnoff, at 7:30.

It's about a 4 mile drive to the Fiddlers and I promise I'll try harder not to lose anyone this time...sorry again for that..

I might be car less on Wednesday, due to a failed alternator on the way back from Mid Essex, yesterday (and what a great day out that was, thanks again Diane)

Keiran, I'm waiting to see "the monster"......

I'll be there Lisa. I met/heard/saw him go past me, SINGH (on PH) briefly on Saturday in his Tuscan and I think he said he'll come along too as he went to the last one.

I hope you got home safely last night in that RECOVERY VEHICLE!! What an eventful day.

Let me know if you want to be a passenger on Wed in the 'Blue Beast' and I'll pick you up.

Not a good day for alternators . I was a bit surprised you didn't appear in my mirrors as I wended my way home.

Don't think I'll make it unfortunately. The Chim seems to be a bit of a weekend event for me.

I tied a helium balloon to it on the way home. Besides, I was only keeping up with Griffy .

Lisa, make sure it is the alternator and not the fuse link.

I nearly paid out £200 on a new alternator when Walldonway said check the Fuse link.

It is a fuse that is mounted underneath on the chassis, near the starter motor.

You will need it on ramps for this.

The fuse is in a plastic box and looks like this.

There will be a large (possibly red) wire going into each end of the box.

When the fuse goes, the cars grinds to a halt and gives all the symptoms of a knackered alternator.

I always carry a spare fuse with me now.

They only cost a couple of ££.

Lee.

Your wish is my command....

Unfortunately, it is out of tax/MOT and I haven't had time to rectify this yet so cannot bring it out to play.

If you're only 4 miles from Epping (and still don't have running Griff) it won't be massive detour, so I should have time to pick you up if you like? (email me directions if lift required)

Thanks for all the offers of a lift but I'm up and runnign agai now and yes it was the fuseable link...well done of all of you that mentioned this to me. Better than that, it was repaired for nothing in 3 hours... brilliant service I thought.

See you all later, or at the Marriott at 7:30 for anyone that doesn't know the way in.

Yeah Podie, come on. Don't tell me that you get thanks and a big bonus for all the hours you work, cos I wouldn't believe you....and if you do, then the drinks are on you..tee hee

By the way I think you should post the other catalogue picture that I sent you, people do need to see it otherwise your agency bookings will dry up.

I hope to get there at some point. I am also working late tonight! I will have to sneek into the car park as I will be arriving in one of the clapped out company pool cars.
