My little trip to Gurston

On sunday 24th of August my best mate and I made the trip to Gurston Down (for the first time this year due to work commitments)
We walked up to the top of the hill and I decide to take some piccies.... only with camera phone unfortunately.

The first pictures were a bit of an unfortunate for the driver,

Which resulted in...

Then we headed for the paddock

I think this may be known round these parts hehe

Mmmmmmmmmm Dialynx 4.2 twin turbo V8 Audi S4

700bhp Ford Puma

Oh thees swamp buggy style things were there.... they looked very basic but the chevy V8's sounded cloud9

Stunning pearl Orange

Then we moved to the startline

Some cars coming down the hill....

And my favourite shot of the day, I'm not saying these cars are 'stiff' but.....

Oh nearly forgot their was a Mazda MX5 going 'up', which had a PH sticker in the front windscreen thumbup

Excellent pics considering they were taken on a phone. Interesting that you focused mostly on production cars rather than the big single seaters that the meeting was really about. There is often discussion about what people come to see and one opinion is that although the National championship contenders are undoubtedly spectacular off the line and doing 140mph or so through hollow, the majority like to see things they recognise and may have driven.

There is a full report of the meeting now on the Gurston Website for those who are interested.
