My brother Sam is doing a very fine thing. He's wading his way through a number of cardboard boxes full of family photos. Here are just a few with motoring interest (no particular order).

1) My mum's Fiat 500 with me climbing out the sun-roof.

2) Same car - me with my Gran.

3) Driveway scene.

4) I think this is Sam (or maybe our other brother Alan).

5) I think this is Sam with our paternal Grandfather.

6) Not sure about this one.

7) Grampa Millar.

8) Grampa Millar - I don't recognise the car.

9) My late Uncle Jimmy with the fabled 'car with no floor'. Jimmy was probably the coolest guy I ever met.

10) Same car (I think) and a couple of friends

11) Grampa Millar with my Mum's NSU - that was a st car!

12) I wonder if Steve Carter can identify the road.

13) My dad keeping an eye on his P&J from the window.

14) This might be me.

15) No idea what this is.

16) Jimmy again with his Lancia Fulvia (IIRC, it was stolen in Paris and never recovered).

17) My brothers, Alan and Sam (Sam is the oldest).

18) Sorry, don't know about this one either.

19) Grandparents at Prestwick Airport (I think).

20) Family holiday - to the Isle of Man I suspect.

21) My dad and my Grampa Millar.

22) My mum's Cortina Mk3 GLX. That metallic toffee colour with vinyl roof (like the one in 'Life on Mars').

23) The three of us and mum.

24) Dad and, I think, Alan.

25) Dad's Stag - and the first Stag in Aberdeen! Lots of stories about this car (one is a cracker but it can wait). I still remember the reg - TRG 678K.First time I travelled (on land) at over 100mph was in this car. Replaced by a '74 BMW 3.0 csi which is still owned locally. I'm afraid I suspect that's me in the foreground).

26) Holiday time again.

27) Sam underneath his Angle-Box with Alan standing beside. Alan is in his school uniform and carrying a lid. IIRC, he was riding a Suzuki 250 'Hustler' at the time.

28) Sam at the Angle-Box again - nice overalls!

29) Sam and his Frogeye.

30) Sam in his Frogeye.

31) Alan on Sam's Triton. This is, believe it or not, still one of Sam's unfinished projects ... one day!

32) Me on my Tiger Cub (bought for a fiver!)

Cheers,

Eric smile

Actually, I think I may be doing him a disservice. That may well be a Norton 600 single (SV) - which was finished(ish).

Nice pics. We had a Mk1 Cortina NUR11D and a Fiat 500, can't remember the reg plate. I can't believe my Dad's last car was a Ford Mundano...

Found another ...

My Dad's Triumph PI. That was a good car - surprisingly pioneering, at the time, for a British manufacturer.

You'll never believe it but we also had a Consul, a Zodiac, an Anglia, a Stag, a Fulvia and a PI at different times !! And yes, the PI was a great car for the time, amazing how fast and composed it seemed despite only having I think 125 bhp.

Great to have that history.

BTW - the one you think is the same car - don't think it is. The rake, layout, parking lights and grills are all different.
