Thinking of getting an E46 330i Touring but are there any suggested modifications to improve the performance?

Nothing that noticeable this side of forced induction. It's hardly a slow car to begin within.

Isn't that the same lump used in the 335i boosted with two twin turbos to 300 bhp?

Hi, I have just bought a 330i Touring on a 'W' Plate. It is quick enough as standard, the only thing I would say is you may not think you are going quick because it is so effortless and there are no dramatics but oudles of power on tap. Very happy with the car.

How about looking for an Alpina instead, which would certainly solve the issue.

Superchargers crop up used a fair bit for these, normally around £1500. Add £500 to fit it and you will have a 290bhp stormer!!

B3 Touring sounds lovely, but they don't come up, there was a nice one on an 03 plate recently but it went straight away.
