Harrop intercooling

Can anyone explain the Harrop intercooler on their supercharger set-up? I guess that the intercooler uses water to cool the compressed intake charge, but does it just use engine coolant in the 'cooler?

It uses a water to air intercooler with it's own water supply, with a mini radiator that straps to the main radiator. It has an electric pump to circulate the coolant. Pretty much it.

Uses a closed loop, separate cooling circuit. Intercooler radiator at front, 2 charge coolers under SC, and has a header tank (in my case) at right rear engine bay. I believe the coolant is 50% antifreeze and 50% water.
