I really admire landrovers and im trying too persuade my mum to get one instead of an m class.

However i need to know how much body roll do you get in the current gen range rover under spirited driving? is it really as dramatic as ive heard or is more controlled? (i drive a mk V fiesta and its scary how much the car rolls at 25 mph!) is the range rover sport much less susecptible to body that its bigger brother and if so how much better is it round corners that its full-sized bigger brother? Or is a range rover/sport something you really shouldnt bother having a spirited drive in?

Thanks in advance!

My L322 rolls a bit more than my Porsche used to & a bit less than my boat used to.

They do roll, but when you have been going over 65 for 30 seconds, the suspension automatically drops & stiffens slightly. They are no sports car though, so will roll more than a normal car but to be honest, they really induce a nice calm driving style which is very pleasant indeed.

The Sport does drive, handle and corner remarkably well for such a car. The "proper" RR less so but it can still be made to travel pretty rapidly if you want. However, personally, I'd take the glorious interior and feel and comfort and waftiness (is that a word?) of the RR over the Sport any day, and if you're so concerned about handling you're probably looking at the wrong type of car anyway. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Get your mum to sit in a RR then the Merc then try to tell you she still prefers the Merc.... smile
