My drivers side window closes really slowly, I think this is something to do with the way it pushes against the frame, having said that the other side's fine. Anyone else had the same prob and know of a remedy?

joolzb,

I had this a little while ago. A littte (good) silicon spray down the rubbers will do the trick nicely.

Hope this helps

Any silicon spray works well. I had the same problem.

Regular applications solve it for good!!!

Holts also do a rubber and trim lubrication in a spray, again available at Halfords. Either this or the silicon spray will do the trick, although you may fiind that the motor is a bit 'tired' and simply spraying it won't cure the ills totally.

Cheers everyone for yer help.

Nob gags? Haven't seen any on this thread, it's about time someone introduced one. Talking of which, I twiddled mine (heater control) last night and it glowed green, followed by a puff of smoke and then exploded under excessive load (current).

I had a a slow window on mine, as you have the interior panel off you could try slackening the window frame bolts, run window up and down a few times to let it find its on natural position then re tighten. Did this on mine and helped a lot.

Just sorted my passenger window (v slow to close) used Wickes Silicon Lubricant £4.99 for 250ml its meant for drain pipes and is a very thick liquid. I just dribbled it into the channels and hey presto as good as new.
