Local BMW MD £100 incl vat ETA the same dealer that told me I had 3mm of tread left on the rear tyres. Two weeks later I measure them myself and amazingly they're 4 - 4.5mm. Hmmm. Business a lttle slow me thinks....

Best BMW MD I called £50... ETA guess where I'm going!

Every 2 yrs normal use but if you drive hard then would do it every year imho.

It's 2 yrs from date of build (original fluid fill) rather than registration and thereafter every 2 years. When you turn the ignition on the miles to service flashes up. If you press the RH black button with the clock symbol on it at the same time it shows the month/year to replace fluid in the format mm/yy. HTH

Unless you are privy to a never ending free supply of the stuff or your car is a racing car, what is the point? Akin to putting Volvic spring water in your windscreen washer bottle IMO.
A good quality fluid is all that is required, 5.1 if you are to take the car on track now and then yes
