Anyone any idea how much you'd pay for a set of unscuffed pre-1996 4-litre Chimaera wheels?

Sorry, Mike from what I've heard you could be Bill Gates himself and still not get any.

Phone TVR or anyone else for that matter and they will have more stock of hen's teeth and rocking horse poo.

i am missing something here. What is the difference pre 1996? All chim wheels (5 spoke style) look the same to me.

The 500 cars (and maybe later 400s) have a different style of wheel with flatter spokes.

i have seen the 500 wheels that are (IIRC) 7 flat spokes. I thought the wheels on the 400 stayed the same throughout its life?

I didnt realise these wheels were so rare.

Damn right ... when I bent three of mine the insruance company replaced all four with Speedlines as the originals are impossible to get. Apparently they're not made anymore.

I'm sure the 4.0 wheels are all the same (five spokes).

The 5.0 and 4.5 (I think) had the ones with the seven spokes.

I'd try and have a word with someone on here who is going to have the factory spider upgrade ...
