Hi,

Soes anyone know how much it would cost to get the dual mass flywheel changed in my bora (engine as in title) please? Does anyone have any experience of this happening to their VAG car is it quite a common fault?

yes it is comon just had it done on mine what probs are you having i got mine from motor parts direct they use sachs wich vw use it cost me350 and thats not including the dred tax.

Hi loving it, the car is juddering when you set off and has a very rough idle.
Was that £350 for the parts or for parts and labour exc VAT?

that could be two things it could be miss fire or the fly wheel you will have to listen by the bell housing thats wear the gear box bolt`s to the engine and find out if it making sqeauking noise or thumping noise if so it would prob be the fly wheel if it is the pd engine they have probs with the wiring going to the injectors which is under the rocer cover the wiring gets britele and causes high resistence?
that was not fitted just the parts i fitted my self i work on renaults so it was easy for me if ya not confadent you would need to get garrage to do the work for you i would advise to go to a specilest not a dealer as they would cost the earth. it might be an idear for you to book it in some wear like a dealer just to diagnoise it or you might spend money that you did not need to the dealer might know what is strait away like a comone prob.
