hi all been looking on the bike section for a while now but only just joined up.

i passed my DAS about 4 months ago and bought a 2008 R6 in graphite, loved every min of riding it, and just swaped the tyres over as where shagged for some pilot power 2ct, and after the first ride out last night on them i am impressed, only covered about 20 mile on a quick spin while was eventually dry to scub them but give alot more feel than the standard dunlops.

right anyway im looking at getting rid of the stupid standard plate, and braket on the new R6 and i have just got a 8x6 real 3mm thick carbon fibre plate made, which is high gloss front and back (tartie i know but will look good), and currently having a reflective sticker made with a border and the letters cut out from, so the carbon weave will show through, ill get some pics up later this week when got it back from the sign wirters but wondered if anyone else wants one making while im at it

cheers andy

Andy, I like the idea of the stencil effect over the carbon backing. Sounds cool.

I'd be interested but I use a size closer to a US plate, which is smaller, and I'm a sucker for making my own plates with different fonts.

This one's old and done several thousand miles, and the weather has impregnated between the films etc.

I could be interested though. All depends on what size and font I could choose.

Thanks. Come back with a pic when you get done.

like peppers above i agree that is askings for hassel off the cops, but mine is going to look more oem, with a yellow sticker and the letters cutout instead of stuck on.

ill get pics and prices up asap when i collect mine

as for other sizes and fonts ect i should see no problem

cheers andy

That's the risk you take for vanity.

That plates been on there four years and several thousand miles. It looks like it's meant to be part of such a fantastic bike, the cops leave me alone.

And yes, it's the breather.
