E36 gear linkage adjustment

I've recently bought an E36 328i touring that drives great. My only critism being that the gears all seem to be to far over to the left. the most noticeable being fifth not springing back to centre when returning to neutral. Is the linkage adjustable on these externally to the box and if so how? CRAIG

No the linkage is not adjustable and the centering is insde the transmission. The linkage has just a single nylon ball and socket arrangement and a straight linkage arm.
Your problem is in your transmission unless something is bent.
