You've been a member less then 1 year and barely made any posts- and you want a PH tattoo?

What would happen if a thread on this site attracted media interest, much like the WW bunker thread. Except PH got negative press and you had a tattoo of it!!

yes, because even although i dont post much on the forums i do read them i probably have been reading them for about 18 months and only signed up because i felt pistonheads were a group of like minded people who werent aholes to the right people. and if PH attracted negative media press and i had a tattoo of it, well st happens its what i believe in and they can like it or lump it smile

Plus i wouldn't get it anywhere that it wasn't easy to cover it

Hey, if you've ever eaten more than three boxes of Crispy Pancakes, maybe your should get a Findus logo tattoo as well?

Seriously, its a real stupid tattoo to get.

This advise is brought to you by someone who has significant tattoos, so I'm not in the 'against' tattoo brigade either.

Why on earth would you get a tattoo while thinking to yourself "Its ok...I can just hide it"?

This to is coming from someone with a few large pieces.

I am the sort that puts little thought in to my tattoo's, I dont worry about if I might like it in 30 years or not because all my tattoo's are attached to an event or period in my life I can look back on and some of them I got just because I like the design...but dude why would you want the logo of some website you have been reading for 18 months? Have you contributed to the running of the site or been to every meeting / event possible?
If Pistonheads had genuinely changed your life and you have met and continued to meet some real friends from here a tattoo would be an awesome way of remembering the good times.

I agree with what you say about tattoos are there to remind you about certain times of your life, ive had mine now for up to 37 years and i must admit there have been times that i feel i needed to cover them, especially on my forearms, but thats just me, everyone to their own. It was at a time when i was after a particular position within the company and i felt that at the interview stage they didnt need to be on full show to all and sundry.

Yes I see where your coming from with that. I should have explained better...Some people get a tattoo small enough or in a location that it can be easily hidden if they decide they dont like it rather than needing to hide it for something like work. Like the people that go "I can always get is lasered innit!"

This is the stupidest idea I've heard in a long time....and I get stupid ideas thrown at me on a daily basis.

Hell, I wouldn't even put a PH logo on the car. Have you thought about getting a hobby?

I have 3, I designed them myself so no risk of bumping into someone with the same. I'm addicted but I wouldn't get any logo whatsoever tattood on me. There's nothing worse, especially the playboy bunny - how tacky.

Neck I think with barbed wire coming from the logo and going around his ear. Not that permanently inked into your skin for the rest of the OP's life is going to be a talking point!.

I don't think that such a good idea, tattoo's look a bit naff at the best of times IMO. I'd recommend getting yourself a PH t-shirt or car sticker.
