I have a pair of Sidi Vertigo Corsa boot, used them for just over two years but the soles have worn flat and at this time of year they are a bit slippy, can anything be done or is it new boots time?

Are you putting your feet down to stop instaed of using your brakes?

I've had my Sidi's for 6 years and could probably get at least another year out of them.

I had to have the soles of my Sidis reglued after only a couple of months - I took them back to the shop and they were repaired by the UK importer (Feridax I believe).

I asked at the same time about what to do when they needed resoling and the shop said it's about £25 the pair. I suggest you try to contact Feridax?

confused

Seriously how are you lot wearing them out so quickly? I've had mine for 4 years, use them every day for commuting and the soles look like new (almost).

Is the wear even on both feet?

I used Sidi boots a few years back and the sole lasted 18months, A hole appeared on the sole below my big toe. crap!
Since then i've used Alpinestars SMX plus and GP Techs the sole's are fine but the heel plates are prone to damage if you walk around with them on too much. oh and they don't squeak like the Sidi's tongue out

left boot has worn more, I suspect that due to have my foot down more that side.

Mine were brand new boots (Vertigos) and the front edge of the sole was peeling away on the left hand boot - a manufacturing fault. My friendly shop returned them and I had them back, repaired in three days - good service from Feridax (?) and BykeBitz.

I've seen guys trailing their feet when setting off, are you doing that?

Must be. That would explain the higher wear on the left boot and it's not something you would really notice when riding.

My Sidis are 4 years old - and the soles are as thin as a cigarette paper. Still better than the Oxtars that lasted approx 2 summers, before getting holes in sole, and above slider.

Just bought a pair of Daytonas - but that is another thread - lets see how long they last!

Not sure if that was directed at me - but no, I don't do that. My boots were just faulty - nothing is perfect after all.

It wasn't directed at you, more the others who seem to get through a pair of boots every 2 days. wink
