Hi chaps,

Is there a way of establishing what frequency the remote key is on an E46? I've looked on the web and it seems there are two types in the UK - 433.92 and 868. It seems that US cars are 315, but I could do with knowing for sure.

Is it supposed to be on the key? I've seen some with it on the outside, but mine doesn't have any writting on it.

Any help appreciated

Cheers
Woody

Agreed. From what I've seen, 868 is the 5 series key.

My Z4MC key (same as an E46 key) says 433.92 MHz and my E60 key says 868 MHz. It's written on the back of each, but it rubs off fairly quickly. Check right at the top of the panel on the back on the E46 key and you should see at least some of it.
