i have been looking for a street rod and couldnt decide so ive got a 93 V Max as it probably wont go down much in value if i keep it clean and low miles. its only done 8000 miles from 1 owner so quite rare in this condition. anyone here like the old man of streetfighters the v max?

I love the old V-Max.. Not wishing to knock you're bike but they are not exactly 'accomplished' in the handling and brakes..
However i thought the power delivery was really addictive and its just one of those bikes which has character...

Are you gonna keep it standard or are you going to upgrade parts?

i will definitely keep it standard. if i wanted great handling i would have bought a sports bike to be fair. it will keep value more if its kept original. no point updating a classic with expensive parts as itll still lose out to a sports bike.

Absolutely... Sounds like a good idea.. VMax's are a bit of an Icon these days and an original unmolested example i doubt would lose a bean.
