Looks like a great day Pies, Apparently no one on hear went looking at the rush of replies!

Did you have your car on the rolling road then. more cars there than at a TVR meet, or was this a TVR / tune up / meet. looks great fun.

Where is this place?

gadgit.

hi mate it was Austec open day lots of cars but not one v6s five eights though

There based at gatwick looks a good set up

Didn't put mine on the rollers i can live in ignorance till the service

Harry's hit 208bhp and keiths hit 215bhp

The green one looked in perfect condition after being rebuilt, could have had a decent polish/wax though

Good day, shame no V6 S's, never seen 5 V8S's in one place at once before, not even mania at Duxford last time when there were over 500 Tivs there .
Not sure about those figures Mr Pies , mine quoted was the wheel figure I think Keiths was the corrected flywheel figure, just to put it into perspective .
Did the picture taken under the car of the outriggers come out, I've never seen shiny body bolts before.

Having been under mine recently I really wish my outrigges looked like that , then again any TVR more than 6 months old will be tatier than that to be honest, Mr sheen (andy) you have to see this one to believe it.

Pies I'd be more than suprised if keiths was a wheel figure myself, trust me .

Harry, dont worry mine was 215 at the flywheel (as per the graph), less roughly 30 bhp lost through transmission etc etc - 185 or thereabouts at the wheels apparently. Torque is the key though!!

8k from new, what exactly is the point in owning a car to do less than 1000 miles a year in - I did 1151 miles last week!

90+ k and going up - and it has more power now than it did in 1995!

Only a V6, but even a tasty V8 isn't worth more than £3k more, and I wouldn't buy any TVR with less than 2k miles / year on it (min 10-15k just to get the niggles sorted and the engine properly bedded.

Still, I WOULD like a chassis that looked like that!!!

Mileage aside, it is a seriously nice motor, I did considered whilst there about swapping the chassis over with mine , but I think he might have noticed .
Mine had more miles after 6 months when new though , it still gets a very good run out every now and then .

marcus, just because some people dont do big mileages dosent mean they shouldn't have a nice car and unlike you i'd never touch a car that had done 90k miles and would always go for the lowest mileage car i could afford. It seems quite a few owners with big mileages are always coming out with "i'd never touch a low mileage car, all those niggles blah, blah, blah..."
Well mine has 17k on the clock is fully serviced every year and apart from a dead battery, starts on the button and is the most reliable car ive ever owned.(even better than my porsche). Some people like driving the car to the max in all conditions and some try to keep their car in the best condition possible .... That just enjoy our cars, i know i do every time i open the garage door.

Each to his own,

i just like looking a very clean engines as i know i just couldn't maintain the look for long.
Its also useful to see what the engine bay should look like
Keep up the good work

P.S how do you top up the oil without it getting everywhere

Me to ! not that hard to keep clean once your there.
its also easier to spot faults etc , if the cars clean.
must admit i do have another car thats filthy, but thats another story, does more than 1151 miles a week though.
