July 4th - Sport Meltdown

Thread title has been cribbed from the newpapers.

I'm involved with a folk fayre that normally takes place close to July 4th, so though it would be a ringer for a diary clash with Pistonfest. However, because of this newpaper article they have decided to slip it a week because July 4th is going to be one seriously busy weekend.

In no particular order:
British Grand Prix
Cricket one day international (Eng v NZ)
Climax of Euro 2004
Mens singles final at Wimbledon

Parhaps a couple of seriously large screen tellys at Pistonfest and make the TV schedule a feature of the event?

Yep, we plan to make more of a weekend of PF in 2004 and some of that will be built around these events so that they can be watched by those that want to. Far better to cheer 'em on in the company of others than sat at home on your tod
