Just been wondering - How many of the 2400 or so S series cars are still around?

- Spotted a blue V8S in Eastleigh this weekend - Lovely exhaust note!

I suppose that it can only be speculation really. If you take into consideration the number that will have been chucked in to trees, lamposts, hedges and the like, and those that have rotted away and not been looked after, can't be too many.

Is there anyway of finding out? DVLA maybe?

Had the same thought a few weeks ago. Going back thru the archives, I found a thread where (I think it was Steve Heath) quoted an attrition rate of 10% per annum. So they'e are going to be between about 900 - 1200 vehicles left depending on how many were manufactured in each year I guess.

has anyone ever tried to organise a big S get together?

Are there any big TVR days anywhere coming up?

I love my car, but I've only ever seen two other s's!

Yes but this year was not a good one for TVR longevity and it got closer to 10% due to Tuscans, Cerbera's and Chimparis and Griffi single vehicle accidents...

I would also be up for a meeting for all S series cars it would be good to compare cars and swap advice etc!

When is the next scheduled meet? If there isnt one any chance of organising one??
