Hello,

I've had an m3 for about 3 years now (2002 E46 convertible).

I'm just wondering what i should be paying for insurance? I am just 26 and paying £2k a year, this is based on it being garaged (underground with remote control access only) in a good area, 4 years NCB, 1 non-fault accident and a value of only £15k. Only mod is a Schnitzer exhaust. Annual mileage is approx 10k.

What are fellow M3 owners paying for insurance and whoa re you insured with?

Thanks!

Last year I was paying £1100 in a reasonable postcode, garaged, 5yrs NCB and no accident history.. £650 excess. Sounds like you're paying a lot - but I bet they don't like the exhaust..

Just picked up another SMG M3 and was shocked at the price, in a good way. Went online and they were all between £760-1800, but Admiral were £486.
Called A-Plan and told them as I would rather use them than Admiral, and they got me a high sum assured policy for £519 with £350 excess and protected no claims.

The 320d E91 sport touring that it replaced was £180 more than that! smile
