Guide Price on Bikes

So there is a bike a like which is advertised for £5K in MCN, in the Parkers guide the price is below £3K for the make,model year.

So is the parkers guide totally wrong or the seller totally optimistic in these depressed times, does any PH'er have a "blackbook for bikes " to give me an alternative

parkers are generally pretty poor for accuracy. Glass' guide seems to be the one used most, but even then it's not perfect.

PArkers top book dealers price is at £4K and yet the bids are at £5K
